2022: A Year For The Keeps.

Hello everyone! Welcome back to my annual post session! Oofff, eyes were blinked & here we are, the end of 2022. It's petrifying innit knowing how time is sprinting so fast & at the same time we are all growing up, evolving & learning as well. All the good & bad time spent has brought us up to this very exact moment, the moment where we are about to traverse into another phase of life, the next level of our respective timeline. Crazy yeah?

But hey, that's what life is. We move forward no matter what. It's quite devastating that we're not able to bring what is expected by us to stay. It's okay, not everything is meant to be part of the adventure until the end. Plus, what matters more is actually the journey itself rather than the destination. Imma just quote this; "Don't cry because it's over but smile because it happened". Not everything is meant to be beautiful and not everything is meant to stay. A rainbow won't be on the skies the whole day. A rainbow is there to remind us that things will eventually get better despite all the heartbreaks we all have to go through and then it disappears, implying us that happiness too won't stay. What's permanent is the memory you have on how you dealt with the rain, storms and finally yeah, the rainbow itself. You despised them? You loved them? You appreciated them? You learned from them? It's you who decides how you wanna perceive them.

So let's talk about my 2022. I'd say this year has gotta be one of the best year i've ever had throughout 23 years of breathing and standing on this planet. I'm grateful for all the blessings that have been poured to me throughout these 12 months. Got my license, completed my degree studies, reconnected with old friends, made new friends, got my BP ticket hehe, Messi winning the world cup (Although I'm a Ronaldo fan, but Messi winning it made me realized that our generations has won too) & finally got my job as an educator in my own district! Yup, so much blessings to be grateful for.

What am I expecting for next year? Nothing. I believe that the reason to why I had a blissful one this year is probably because I followed the flow without putting enormous anticipations on what's about to transpire next. So yeah, I'm just gonna lay on the float and enjoy where the waves would like to flow me to. But yeah, 2023 ain't gonna be an easy one for me cs this time is where I have to genuinely commit myself to this one particular word, "ADULTING". Gonna have my own job, my own paycheck, my own commitments, my own bills and the list goes on. Yup, this is the phase where most of us are terrified to go through and just pondering about it makes us anxious.

But hey, everything's gonna be okay. It'll be fine. Take as long as you want to adapt with everything that is going to take place. It's gonna be a tough one at first but then trust me, we all will get used to it. We'll keep on evolving & learning. We'll become stronger. That's my promise to all of you. This is just a new beginning. A new quest awaits & I really hope that what we've gained from the previous years will be brought into play for the upcoming years. You got this! We all got this! Remember, if you feel exhausted, learn to breath and rest.

It's One Day or Day One, You decide!

Happy New Year! - A.
